Eleventh European URAL Meeting – the Ural vacation in autumn of Austria

​LOCATION

CASTLE PIBERSTEIN, Piberstein 1, A-4184 Piberstein, 

that is between the villages of Helfenberg and Ahorn, 
in Mühlviertel, Upper Austria

At the request of many regular visitors of our Ural meeting, we have once again chosen the Piberstein castle ruins as the meeting place. The conditions there are simply ideal, the ambience and the landscape of the Upper Mühlviertel are unique. We are at an altitude of around 800 m, so it can be cool in September, but September is usually (and hopefully) free of rain or snow.

​PROGRAM

The main program is us Ural drivers ourselves. You will meet well over 100 Ural sidecars in all colors and shapes, participants come from all over Europe.

 

SUPPORTING PROGRAM

We offer 2 guided rallyes for Saturday.

Once a guided tour of approx. 70 km in the upper Mühlviertel including lunch, departure from the castle is 10.30 a.m. The last time there were 100 Urals lined up in a long, impressive line on side roads.

 

This year we are offering a 2nd guided tour, but at this tour we also use some gravel, forest and meadow passages. Can be challenging at times. We have therefore limited this trip to 25 teams.

 

On Saturday evening we bring live music.

 

Our shop will be open for merchandising throughout the meeting.

 

As always, we pay great attention to providing our guests with high-quality culinary fare; we offer breakfast, snacks during the day and a buffet in the evening.

 

ACCOMODATIOIN
Hotels, guesthouses and rooms: A list can be found attached. We recommend booking soon as there will be a lot of rush for the rooms. We will be happy to help participants who are unable to get along linguistically with the hoteliers when booking.

Camping: There is enough space to camp around the castle. Toilets are located in the castle. This year we will provide more additional toilets and also showers.

Camp bed: We will set up one of the knight's halls in the castle as a dormitory. We will provide camping beds.

 

DEPARTURE
By Sunday evening, September 15th, we must have completely cleared the area.
