5.– 7.9.2025 | Austria
Eleventh European Ural Meeting – Yes, it was very nice, we all enjoyed it.
Perfect weather, a fantastic scenery, a strong sign of life from the Ural family from Luxembourg, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria.
80 Ural sidecars completed the 80-km tour in impressive discipline; of the 22 Ural sidecars that started in the off-road discipline, only 7 reached the finish line. By popular demand: There will be a Twelfth European Ural Rally in 2026!

Eleventh European URAL Meeting –
the Ural vacation in autumn of Austria
September 5-7, 2025
In August, over 100 sidecars had already registered, and as always, it was going to be a colorful event: sidecars were coming from Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and even a few Austrians had already registered.
DATE
Arrival: Friday, September 5, 2025
Arrival all day, in the castle canteen there are schnitzel, roast pork, vegetable patties from 5 pm to 9.30 pm
Departure: Sunday, September 7, 2025
LOCATION
CASTLE PIBERSTEIN, Piberstein 1, A-4184 Piberstein,
that is between the villages of Helfenberg and Ahorn,
in Mühlviertel, Upper Austria
SATURDAY, September 6, 2025
We offer a delicious breakfast buffet from 7:00 am. to 9:00 am.
There will be two guided tours on Saturday: Once is a guided 40-km tour on paved roads (with a few gravel sections) in the Upper Mühlviertel region to the „Pfostenessen” at the Panyhaus above Aigen Schlägl. Departure from the castle is at 10:15 am and arrival at the Panyhaus will be around 12:00 pm. The last time was in 2022, when 100 Urals were lined up in a long, impressive line; it was really cool.
„Pfostenessen" is an XXL-sized snack board. The meal costs €20 per person and is incredibly filling. Even vegetarians and vegans won't go hungry at the Pfostenessen.
We offer a second guided tour, but this one also includes some gravel, forest, and meadow sections. It can be challenging at times. Therefore, we have limited this tour to 25 sidecars. This tour is already fully booked. The off-road tour departs from the castle at 9:00 am. During the off-road tour, we will visit a small private brewery. Arrival at the Panyhaus is approximately 12:00 p.m.
Address Panyhaus: Grünwald 1, A-4160 Aigen-Schlägl, Tel. +43 664 92 72 473
After lunch at the Panyhaus, we'll all drive 40 kilometers back to Piberstein Castle via the Czech Republic, arriving around 4:00 p.m.
In the evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm, there'll be a fantastic barbecue at Piberstein Castle.
„The Mollies” will be playing starting at 8:00 pm! This rock band is since 1977 a Linz institution.
SUNDAY, September 7, 2025
Breakfast buffet from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Departure of all participants. By Sunday at noon (12:00) we must have completely cleared the area in a clean condition.
GENERAL information:
We have chosen the castle ruin Piberstein as our meeting place again this year. The conditions there are simply ideal, and the ambiance and the region of the Upper Mühlviertel are unique. We are at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, and it can be chilly there in September, so please be prepared for the cold. We will have a central campfire on Friday and Saturday evenings for warmth. Private fires at the campsite are strictly prohibited. Please be understanding; the castle has burned down twice during festivals, so this is a sensitive topic.
As always, we pay great attention to providing our guests with high-quality culinary fare. We offer breakfast, snacks throughout the day, and an evening buffet. We serve everything on proper plates, and drinks come in glasses. There's no plastic or paper cups. Those who want to self-cater are welcome, but please take your trash home with them.
This year, there are showers in a container for campsite guests. From the start of each hour, this container is accessible to women for the first half hour and to men for the second half hour.
RULES for the Saturday rides:
We will drive slowly, no faster than 60 km/h. This ride is not a race. We will ride almost exclusively on secondary roads with little traffic. Please ride closely behind one another, not leaving large gaps. Please always keep an eye on the vehicle behind you. If the vehicle behind you can no longer keep up, please stop at the next opportunity and wait for the following vehicles! Please drive quietly. Please avoid causing major damage to the land on the gravel or meadow paths. Please greet horse riders, cyclists, and pedestrians in a friendly manner and give way to them.
On the off-road tour, consideration for other road users is especially important, as motorcycles are normally prohibited on these partially private forest and meadow paths, so we are not necessarily expected there.
Our shop will be open for merchandising throughout the entire meeting, and we will also have a small Ural flea market with some cheap used Ural parts and debris.
